But unfortunately, the plane crashed into a two-story building of Milestone School and College in an unexpected accident. 19 people including the pilot were killed and 164 were injured in this sudden accident.

This was stated in a press release by the ISPR on Monday afternoon.
The ISPR statement said that the Bangladesh Air Force’s FT-7 BGI fighter aircraft encountered a mechanical fault after taking off from the Air Force’s AK Khandaker Base in Kurmitola at 1:06 pm on Monday (21-7-2025) as part of a regular training exercise. The details will be announced after investigation. To deal with the accident and avoid major damage, the aircraft’s pilot, Flight Lieutenant Md. Taukir Islam, made every effort to take the aircraft from a densely populated area to a sparsely populated area. But unfortunately, the aircraft crashed into a two-story building of Milestone School and College in Diabari, Dhaka. 19 people, including the pilot, were killed and 164 others were injured in this sudden accident.
The ISPR release also said that a high-level investigation committee of the Air Force has already been formed to find out the cause of the accident.
